These packages were designed to capture the character and technology of Jamaica for a new line of gourmet foods produced in Jamaica. Traditional Jamaican container materials, such as straw and ceramic, were used. The label’s illustrations suggest the island’s lush vegetation.

These rolled packages contain bean paste for cooking and sauces. Clear wrappers show the consistency and color of the paste while labels with Japanese characters give product information. The straw-rolled carton can be used after the paste is gone.
